Gary Alazraki

Gary is a Mexican writer and director, known for his work in the movie “Nosotros los Nobles” (2013) and for the exclusive Netflix original series “Club de Cuervos” (2015).

Gaz is the son of the speaker Carlos Alazraki, and grandson of the movie director Benito Alazraki. In spite of his surname been backed up with his family work, Gary has succeded in the publicity area, and most of all, in the production and cinematography industry.

Gary started working as a production assistant, as well as a director of spots in México through his company “Agave shots”, which he opened in 2004.

His passion for cinematography led him to direct the short films: “Volver, volver” (2005) and “La hora cero” (2008), which gave him the recognition of great Mexican cinema figures, such as, Guillermo Arriaga, Martha Higareda and Tony Dalton.

In 2008, and once “Agave shots” was closed, Gaz started working in the filmed that led him to international fame: “Nosotros los Nobles” (2013)

The film’s most known actors are Luis Gerardo Méndez, Karla Souza and Gonzalo Vega. It has been one of the highest-grossing movies in México and Latin America (According to the Cinematography Institute) with 7.0 million viewers, and the second one with more earnings, with 327.52 million.

After his great success with “Nosotros los Nobles”, Gary worked with Luis Gerardo Méndez again, this time in the series “Club de Cuervos” (2015), which is the first Mexican show completely produced by Netflix.
